Workshop - Role of a Trustee part 1

HIVE Portsmouth is excited to be holding a workshop for community and voluntary sector organisations in the city. Participate in an interactive workshop with hints and tips on:

Session 1:  

Introduction to the Charity Sector 

• Background to the charitable sector - why it is different to the normal workplace
• Some definitions and explanations - so that you know what is going on at trustee meetings   
• The Charity Commission - what to expect from them, and vice versa 

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Eligibility - not everyone is allowed to be a trustee
• Trustee’s roles, duties and responsibilities - you can't be a good trustee if you don't understand the job description!
